Why Napoli Wants To Wre ck Osimhen s Football Career (Sports)

Victor Osimhen is finding himself in a sticky spot.

                      Victor Osimhen

The talented striker has found himself embroiled in a messy scandal which is threatening his football career which, if not handled well, can end his career in no time.

The Nigerian striker had it tough with George Finidi, former Super Eagles' coach, who resigned not too long ago, over Osimhen's inability to join the team for a crucial match.

Earlier, the Napoli FC striker has been having a harrowing time at his Italian club. Osimhen and some team mates  cum.cisching crew, were involved in a spar. Osimhen felt the club did little about racist chants he faced at a period, and frowns at the cold attitude of his team mates towards him. He started snubbing his teammates. Those ones denied passing out ball to him for goals. The club themissed scoring chances, and its fortunes dipped. Club's management forcefully intervened and a truck was reached

Turns out it's a fake love. Osimhen pursued by many clubs, he narrowed it to Chelsea and Al Ahki, a Saudi Arabian club.

His hitherto buoyant transfer impending moves to either the English or Saudi club are now very messy. Chelsea's bid of five million pounds was lesser than his current wages at Napoli. Al Shli had fruitful negotiations and was about to transfer the 80 million euro price, when Napiki increased the price by five million euros on the very last day left in the transfer window. A muffed Al Ahli declined. With Napoli already having Romelu Lukaku from  Chelsea emblazoned with no. 9, Osimhen's Hersey number, ab emused Osimhen was then left without a club! Reports are now linking him with frantic mice's to Galatasaray in Turkey or thereabouts.

However, Napoli's antics follows the trend of clubs with masked malic1ous intent to wreck the career if a football star. It seems the club's Management still has it in for osimhen despite it's peace talks before. Why wait till the very last two days left on the transfer window to increase the fees by five million euros? And what sort of logic makes a club willing to forego a whopping 80 million euros because of a five million euros it asked as an afterthought?

It smacks of the club's readiness to stall his career. Pure and simple. Totally disastrous for the one of the best in the Italian Serie A and reigning CAF Player of the Year!

Such result would only force him to sign for a less known club, just so to keep playing and maintain his fitness. A football player without regular playing would definitely lose form and si, depreciate in value.

The situation is not helped by Osimhen"s frosty relationship with the Nigerian Football Federation which could have sought to help him overcome this tough times.

Here's hoping he gets his game together soonest.n
