BREAKING: President Buhari Fully Resumes Official Duties

President Muhammadu Buhari just resumed work today. He submitted a letter to the National Assembly notifying the legislature of this development.

According to a press release by Femi Adesina, the special adviser to the President, media and publicity, the president resumed official duties this morning after his vacation, "in compliance with Section 145 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended)," adding, "The President has formally transmitted  letters to the Senate and the House of Representatives, intimating the National Assembly 'that I have resumed my functions as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with effect from Monday, March 13, 2017, after my vacation.' "

This development cancels rife speculations that the president is yet unable to resume official duties but would return to UK where he has been receiving treatment over the weekend.
