Independence Day Anniversary: US Congressional Caucus Visits Nigeria's Federal House of Reps (Nigeria)

There is yet a lot to celebrate about Nigeria despite the present challenges the country is facing among the comity of nations, Nigeria still holds a formidable presence not only in Africa but among the most powerful nations especially, the United States of America.
According to a press statement by Tunde Yinysa, a media aide to Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka, the Deputy Chief Whip of the Federal House of Representatives', Abuja, the ties between Nigeria and United States of America received further boost recently. This is due to the visit of a United States' Congressional Caucus to the House of Representatives' as part of the group's activities to mark America's Independence Day.

Furthermore, Hon..isiaka and the delegation discussed maters of bilateral relations between the two countries' legislature by emphasizing similarities, discussing areas of mutual interests and possible collaboration between Nigeria and the United States' Congress in the nearest future.
The delegation also expressed delight at the National Assembly's vibrancy and dogged hard work in formulating and passing bills engendering quicker development for Nigeria and Nigerians. The group notes the passage of a great number of bills establishing more institutions of higher learning especially in science and technology in Nigeria during this legislative year alone.
The delegation also commends the House of Representatives' for its mediation role in delicately solving many political crisis in the country particularly in conducting the process leading to the successful passage of the contentious Tax Reform Bill and sensitive oversight of the emergency rule in Rivers State.
Concluding, Rt. Hon. Isiaka thanked the visiting lawmakers for their poignant visit on the day that the world's most advanced system of presidential democratic system of government. He said the House of Representatives' would see the visit and commendation as a catalyst to work increasingly harder to deliver democracy dividends to the Nigerian people. "We'll make Nigeria's and Nigeria's friend, the united States.of America, prouder," he said.
