Oyo K1dnapped Hostage Cries Out From Captivity, "Stop Lying Against The Bandits!' (Nigeria)

 One of the kidnapped teaching staff amongst the kidnapped Oyo pupils and teachers has spoken out. 

Apparently, on a directive from the k1dnappers, she appeared on a video , standing by a background of a large piece of cloth or bedsheet tied across the backdrop.

She expressed the kidnappers' dismay at funding out that their demands are being misrepresented. She said the kidnappers discovered that reports have been swirling in the media and public spaces that they demanded N1 billion ransom and, demanded for shariah law in a geographical location lawfully allocated from within Oyo for them. 

She said this is far from the truth. According to her, the kidnappers want just one thing only. And that is the only demand they have made so far. This is unconditional release of their jailed members. 

They seek negotiations with government on how this can be effected in a hostages swap scenario. That is it. 

She pleaded that the duty should not be exploited for cheap gains. "Don't play politics with this...you'll only worsen the situation for us, the hostages," she said. 

But, that one demand is costlier than asking for N1 billion. It is impossible for most governments to negotiate with extremists especially, in asking for prisoner swap with convicts who are not prisoners of conscience or human rights activists, but terr0rists tried and incarcerated for such. 

 Meanwhile, Mega Mode Media closer observation of the video shows that the woman appears calm, lucid and in good health on the released video which apparently, was made to assuage widespread frantic concerns about the hostages' fate in captivity so far. 

But, there is just so little  that one frame of a short video with one subject can reveal. The fate of the other captives especially, the two-year old infant cannot be ascertained from this visual. Judging by the decapitation of a teacher when they struck and kidnapped the hostages, her calmness in the video is no indication that the kidnappers are now gentlemen or pacifists., meekly seeking a genial meeting. 

The pupils and teachers were captured on May 15, and till date, they are still held in captivity. 

Mega Mode Media's further analysis of the video indicates that blocking out the background is clearly an attempt at masking the location; whether they are in an urban center now or still holed up in a forest. But, with the breeze blowing and billowing the background cloth, and the unevenness of its surface, it looks like they are still in the forests. The lighting itself is natural, it is from the sun, it does not suggest artificial lighting with electric bulbs in a housing facility.
