 In some minutes from now,  President Bola Tinubu will address the nation in a broadcast today Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 7:00 am. Television, radio, and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to plug into the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the broadcast. The broadcast will be repeated on the network services of the NTA and the FRCN at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm on the same day.  

 It's been whispered for done time but now it's official.  The two lovebirds have decided to come out of hiding, and in a bigger way, by announcing their engagement.  At long last , Timini Egbuson just confirmed the news on who holds the key to his heart and forever   He captioned pictures of the two in lovey dovey snapshots, just so we are all clear,  Timini captioned the photos: "I can't hide anymore.  Sweet!

Recent reports trickling in from reliable sources are saying something fundamentally new and a game changer concerning #justiceformohbad.  Recall that rumours spread them that another lady birthed a son for the late Afrobeats star after his demise. But, it was debunked later as a hoax. There were confusion whether the mother is based in Nigeria, or lives abroad.  Mohbad allegedly took a lover, a Ghanaian national, in the UK during his last musical show in the country mid 2023.  Seems the rumours are true.M r. Joseph Aloba, popularly called Papa Mohbad, just told Quadri Hamzat that Mohbad had another son in the UK born in the days after his shocking demise.   In any case, good news!! Jnr. Mohbad? Yaaay!!!

 #Day3 EndBadGovernance Reports say protests are still going across Nigeria. However, Mega Mode Media can only authoritatively confirm that it's ongoing in Lagos, the former capital and economic hub of the nation. The protests have been orderly, and peaceful especially around Ojota which largely played host to the protesters today, before they moved inwards further into the mainland. Apart from the ongoing drama between Senator Ireti Kingibe, representing the federal capital territory and Nyesom Wike, minister of same area, Abuja has not recorded any major even today. Wike accused the senator of sponsoring the ptotest in Abuja, which Kingibe strenuously denied.

  Police just fired tear gas at protesters gathered at Federal Secretariat, in the Central Business District of Abuja, Nigeria's federal capital territory.

  Hmmm…Things are deveyat a rapid pace in the country concerning the planned protests slated to start today.   The Ogun State High Court has ordered the mastermindss of the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests to limit their activities to four locations in the state. It also limited the time frame of the protests to between 8 am and 5 pm. The court, granting an application moved by the State's Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade (SAN), Justice O. Ogunfowora directed that all protests under the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria slogan or any other slogan from 1 August 2024 to 10 August 2024 must be limited in place and time. The judge prohibited the protesters from protesting anywhere in the state except at the MKO Stadium, Abeokuta; Ansar-ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota; Remo Divisional High School, Sagamu; and Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu-Ode. Mega Mode Media can authoritatively confirm that Lagos State has gone into full lockdown mode as proposed nationwide protests start tomorrow, August 1.       In the last three days, the presence if police checks in the former capital city has increased. Police patrol vans with blaring sirens sweep through major streets in the metropolis especially, the Lagos-Ikorodu road, Berger to Oworonshoki axis, Amuwo-Odofin road, Ojuelegba - Western Avenue road, Oshodi - Isolo - Ago Palace Way - Airport road corridor, amongst others.  Reports reaching Mega Mode Media says legendary Nigerian singer, the Elegant Stallion, Onyeka Onwenu, just passed on, late Tuesday night July 30.                     Onyeka Onwenu Onwenu was at the birthday ceremony of a friend Stella Okoku, MD of a pharmaceutical company, where she stood up and performed. It is unclear if she was a paid singer at the event or it was an impromptu decision to serenade her friend. After she returned to her seat, Onwenju slumped. Emergency services were summoned and she was reportedly rushed to Reddington Hospital. For a while, doctors battled to save her from the yet unspecified ailment.  Sadly, these proved abortive as she had left this world.   She was not just a singer, Onwenu was also an actor, an arts afficionado and politician.  May her soul find repose in the bosom of the Creator.
