Ebola virus
The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned Friday that the semen of men who have had Ebola and have passed the virus can cont ain up to three months after symptoms have disappeared. WHO recommends not having sex for three months.

Four studies found the virus in the semen of three men cured Failure to avoid not having sex, you are advised to use condoms The warning is supported by four studies that have investigated the persistence of Ebola virus in the seminal fluid of a total of 43 patients.

So, it concluded that the virus has been found in the semen of three men at 40, 61 and 82 days after passing the signs of this hemorrhagic fever. So far, WHO included in its recommendations to prevent the spread of viruses that people avoid sex for at least seven weeks after clinical recovery or to use condoms if they maintain relationships before that period expires.

“Because of the potential for transmission of the virus through sexual contact during this time, (convalescent) must have good personal hygiene after masturbation and abstain from sex (including oral sex) until three months after the last symptoms,” has wHO recommended, you added that you should use a condom if the latter is not possible. Study based on previous outbreaks The studies on which these recommendations have not been made in the current epidemic of Ebola in West Africa are based, but in past outbreaks in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

WHO has clarified that nursing does not recommend that men and have tested negative in tests for the virus in the blood are kept in isolation. The Ebola virus is found in body fluids such as blood, vomit, feces, saliva, urine, tears and seminal and vaginal fluids. “Although the scientific evidence is limited, it is clear that semen is a potential source of infection and can cause HIV transmission,” he explained. The Organization has also reported two other studies in which the virus was isolated from the semen, but in which no infections among household contacts within identified. - See more at: http://www.cbsport.org/2014/12/detected-months-passing-disease-29/#sthash.47bAXdhn.dpuf
