Constructors say the roof of the stadium hosting the World Cup opener in a few weeks will not be fully finished, according a report from AP.  Construction company in charge of the project, Odebrecht, confirmed Friday that a section of the roof at the Itaquerao will be finished after the World Cup. With just a few weeks to the opening ceremony of the global soccer fiesta, there is inadequate for installation of the glass covers that should supposedly be added to the sides of the stadium’s roofing structure. This situation prompted Odebrecht and local organisers to postpone the work until after the tournament. However, Odebrecht said the missing covers will not affect fans watching matches in the stadium.  Fresh reports said some soldiers reportedly fired gunshots at the motorcade of the General Office Commanding, Major General Ahmadu Mohammed, for his alleged oversight in allowing 12 soldiers slained by Boko Haram , Wednesday, to suffer that fate. The soldiers went to a village where nativess ambushed and killed several Boko Haram terrorists. According to Premium Times, they finished their mission at night. The soldiers, wary of returning to their newly-formed base, 7 th Division, at that time for fear of ambush from the insurgents, called and pleaded with their superiors from the village for permission to return in the daytime. Jamie Foxx has joined the ranks of American celebrities who are demanding the release of the abducted Chibok girls in Nigeria. The girls were forcefully taken away from Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno state as they were preparing to take their final high school leaving certificate examinations in Physics, April 14.
