Chelsea beats ManUtd to sign on Barca's Pedro, player arrives Stamford Bridge

Manchester United fans, look away now Pedro is on his way to Chelsea, he is having a medical in London, and Manchester United have missed out on their main transfer target from over the last month. United manager Louis van Gaal had not convinced the player enough that he wanted him, and the Blues have swooped in to complete the £22m move, after meeting Pedro's release clause. The player is reported to be undergoing medicals with The Blues already. United chief-executive Ed Woodward even flew to Catalonia this week, but the clubs could not complete a move. This has left many of the Old Trafford faithful furious, and Twitter was quick to react: Pedro, 28, scored 99 goals in 321 games for Barcelona, and won five La Liga titles with the club.
