Undoubtedly, the name of the wife did not live up to it's meaning that day.  Nigeria's Electoral agency, the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ) is acting like it is confused.  First, it ordered a revalidation exercise of permanent voter's cards (PVC) to authenticate and appropriately reconfigure it to match card readers just so to ensure there are no IT glitches on election days across Nigeria in the 2027 general elections .  With mere days to its commencement, INEC has ordered all state electoral commissioners in its offices round the 36 states of the nation to stop this exercise.  No reason was given for the sudden halt to the exercise.  Does this bode well for Nigeria's democracy ?

  President Bola Tinubu has approved the payment plan to finally settle the outstanding debts under the Presidential Power Sector Financial Reforms Programme . Bayo Onanuga , Special Adviser, Information ad Strategy to the President, just announced this on X. He  said te debt repayment plan followed the final review of the legacy debts that have beset the power sector for more than a decade. The long-standing debts accumulated between February 2015 and March 2025. Following verification, ₦3.3 trillion has been agreed as a full and final settlement, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution.

 It seems the visit of President Tinubu and too security apparatus to the area is not deterring these v10lent elements from continuing on their reckless spree.  In a fresh attack, three persons were killed and one injured in Nyamgo Gyel , Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State . Eyewitnesses said the victims were among a group of about 15 youths returning from a mining site when they were ambushed around 7 p.m. while riding home from Gero on a motorbike.                        (Courtesy X) President Donald Trump handpicked her as the US's attorney general 14 months ago.  Though she's been dealing with harsh public scrutiny for her emergence via Trump's direct role for such a sensitive position, she face even more intense heat over the past few months over issues surrounding the Epstein files. This arguably the first time that a sitting President will do this, but President Trump just fired Pam Bondi as the attorney general of the US . She is the first woman to occupy such position.  The situation created three firsts. Bondi is the first female attorney general of the United States. She is the first to be sacked in that role. And, president Trump is the first US president to do so.

In April 2017, Nigeria's anti graft agency, the EFCC , got a tip that a large amount of money was being kept inside a luxury private apartment in Osborne Towers , in upscale Ikoyi area of Lagos. A whistleblower reportedly supplied the information.  So, on the April 12, 2017, EFCC officers raided the flat and found large sums of money kept inside metal filing cabinets and huge sewn sacks called "Ghana must go" bags. This week is the most important part of Lent . It is most poignant as the Christian solemn week of Passion Week before Easter is currently ongoing.
