Return of Tupac Shakur, by 50 Cent (Entertainment)

<>There is no lover of good ol ' rap music of the 90s who can forget him. Some people step into a place or a role, and just like that, it's like a million watts bulbs went on at the same time as they  dazzling almost blinds without a word,  they just have that presence.

When this gets amplified by a raw, unmatched talent and gift, the animal magnetism gets amplified to a stratospheric levels.

That is the case of dancer, rapper, actor, Tupac Amaru Shakur. He dominated the rap scene with his songs, his beats, his dances, his good looks and above all, his unbelievable charisma and boldness.

He had contrasting personalities. He raised awareness of the ills of teen pregnancy with "Brenda's Got a Baby", got motivational with "Keep Ya Head Up" and "Changes", bragged with "Hail Mary" and "All Eyez on Me" , waxed romantic with "What You Do For Love", put California on the map more with "California Love", became hauntingly emotional in the song that's now a Mother's Day classic worldwide in "Dear Mama,"and was insulting brash and intentionally violent in evergreen diss track "Hit 'em Up." Everything rolled up in one, what a guy!

His fans span the world. From campuses and nightclubs of Lagos Nigeria to bustling hubs of Kenya, glittering heights of Johannesburg and across Africa to shiny China, tiny Indonesia, packed India, to dance halls across Europe and of course, throughout the United States.

He was the rapper many love to hate and competitors hate to love. He jumpstarted lyrics glorifying violence with his " Thug Life" ethos yet, calling for a unique black consciousness and awareness among African Americans.

And did the ladies love him? The pulsing charge of electric that's Tupac was irresponsible for women. Even Madonna chased him and dated him. Jada Pinkett Smith is rumoured to be broken hearted over him till date. Even, ladies of his friends ditched their men to be with Pac. Though, to his credit he's said to decline such ladies unless he did not know they were with his friends. Too many ladies frolicked round him more than any other star of his era because it is Tupac. When he is around, no one else gets noticed.

All these attracted enmity, envy, jealousy, deep rivalries for him, of course. The East Coast led by Puff Daddy & Notorious BIG versus West Coast led by Tupac and the Outlawz was the climax of the turf wars, cvlt clashes and reign of vil10lence of the era  which culminated in his sh00t1ng in 1996 in Las Vegas shortly after watching a Mike Tyson fight. He passed, September 13, 1996 to global shock and great grief.

His teeming global fan base remain intact years down the line. They still love and adulate him, and still remain fiercely devoted to his legacy till date. His associates and proteges in the music industry similarly find him unforgettable.

This is why to commemorate the 30th year anniversary of his death, 50 Cent plus associates like William Deshawn erected a Tupac Shakur Museum. Standing tall outside it is a life-size statue of Tupac in his signature look and dance mannerism.

Fans were overjoyed and ecstatic over this development as they drew to it in thousands. However, they have one major complaint. The statue misses a key feature. Tupac s trademark bandanna tied across his forehead in his unique knot.

So, 50 Cent and William obeyed. Off they went back with a bandanna in hand, to tie it round Tupac's head in that distinctly unique style of his. " We tried many styles before we got it right," William said.

So here lies the monument to Tupac, globally regarded as one of the most iconic music artistes of the 20th century.
