The peace agreement that certain communities in Katsina state in northern Nigeria are yielding little to no results. Recently, reports indicate rising b@ndits activity across Matazu, Kankia, Musawa and Charanci LGAs in Katsina State.

B@ndits are capitalising on the truce to lay siege on many areas of the state.

In the early hours of Easter Sunday, b@ndits crept into Tudun Wulli community in Sukuntuni district. They conducted house-to-house searches. Thankfully no lifes were lost but, significant looting were reported.

Before that, on Thursday night, a raid took place in Sukuntuni, where attackers carried similarly looted the residents and injured several civilians.

Now, the b@ndits are getting more embroidened. Residents of Sukuntuni town in Kankia LGA, Katsina State, just got a handwritten letter in English, warning of their intention to "visit."

Mega Mode Media's review show that the Nigerian security authorities have to ramp up its counter insurgency activities to stem this tide before it gets out of hand once more. If they are now writing notices if attacks to villages, it is not just a.psyvhologucal toil on the recipients, it is also an affront to the Nigerian security authorities and the United States' interventionist efforts in Nigeria
