BREAKING: Attack in Nigeria's Plateau State (Nigeria)

This week is the most important part of Lent. It is most poignant as the Christian solemn week of Passion Week before Easter is currently ongoing. It is the time of most earnest prayers and reflection as Christians especially Orthodox Churches, reflect on the weeks and moments before Jesus Christ's crucifixion on Good Friday.

 An attack just rippled through Plateau state in Middle Belt area of Nigeria populated mostly by Christians as this Passion Week starts. 

Authorities of University of Jos has asked its students to stay away from campus or at best, shelter in ol5 for a while.

.             Governor Ademola Adeleke  Gov. Ademola Adeleke has been embroiled in troubled web of navigating the platform through which he will prosecute his second term bid.  The main opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) through which he emerged victorious, is embattled to the point where its implosion is threatening its extinction in Nigeria s politics.  The chapter of the All Progressive's Congress (APC) would not have him despite his soaring popularity in Odun state. Despite his fervent rapprochement with President Bola Tinubu in order to gain a foothold as the party's gubernatorial candidate if he defects, the president was noncommittal.  The party ruling apparatus stridently and publicly warned him off in no uncertain terms in strongly worded press statements.
