Hoodlums set APC guber candidate's office ablaze

Hoodlums yesterday set ablaze the campaign office of All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate Barrister Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar. In his account of the incident, Police Public Relations Officer DSP Haruna Mohammed told reporters that “On the 23/1/2015 at about 2:30am, unknown persons numbering about four wearing masks set ablaze the campaign office of one Barrister Mohammed Abubakar, governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) at Unguwan Jaki Junction, Bauchi.”
Mohammed said: “The scene of the crime was visited by detectives but loss of life and value of property destroyed is yet to be ascertained.” He said the Command will not condone acts of lawlessness by any group or individual and will deal decisively with anyone caught violating law and order in the State.
The candidate, Abubakar, described the incident as unfortunate, barbaric and undemocratic.
