Ademola Adeleke has been embroiled in troubled web of navigating the platform through which he will prosecute his second term bid.  The main opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) through which he emerged victorious, is embattled to the point where its implosion is threatening its extinction in Nigeria s politics.  The chapter of the All Progressive's Congress (APC) would not have him despite his soaring popularity in Odun state. Despite his fervent rapprochement with President Bola Tinubu in order to gain a foothold as the party's gubernatorial candidate if he defects, the president was noncommittal.  The party ruling apparatus stridently and publicly warned him off in no uncertain terms in strongly worded press statements.
