Nigeria's Abia state gets restive, the governor's involvement

Abia state is still reeling in the aftermath of the violence which ravaged the state following the April 11 gubernatorial elections.

Reports monitored by Mega Mode Media shows that according to the Independent National Electoral Agency (INEC), elections were not held in "some" areas of three local governments which is inadequate to cancel the polls in those areas.
But, reports monitored by residents of the area reveals that elections were not held at all in the areas because the process was disrupted by wide outbreaks of violence especially in Obingwa and Isisioma areas.
The situation was compounded with the visit of the state governor to the collation centre as poll count was ongoing. The governor allegedly had a secret meeting with the Resident Electoral Commission of the state which observers say portend no good omen for the final vote tally.
Interestingly, while residents of the state who were at the collation centre insist on the accuracy of this development, they express surprise at the non disclosure of this situation by the television stations present at the venue.
