Nigerian football player dies during match

Nigerian defender David Oniya has died after collapsing during a football friendly in Malaysia.
Local media says the 30-year-old collapsed three minutes into a match between Malaysian club sides and was taken to hospital.
The match was abandoned after 60 minutes when a message was received from the hospital that Oniya had died.
The club's chief executive, Syahrizan Mohd Zain, claimed Oniya did not receive medical treatment quickly enough.
"He suffered a heart attack but it could have been a different story," he told the New Straits Times. "Our defender was deprived of oxygen for several minutes."
