US flaws $5 billions donation for B’ Haram report


A statement from the American embassy states that the support being rendered by America is $5 million.
“Members of the U.S government delegation to the African Union Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa briefed reporters on the range of U.S. engagement in Africa. It was widely reported that the United States is offering $5 billion to the Multinational Joint Task Force to fight Boko Haram. The U.S. Embassy wishes to clarify that the amount is $5 million”, the statement read.
The Assistant Secretary Linda Thomas-Greenfield, was yesterday reported to have said that the US was rendering an assistance of $5 billion to the MJTF, a figure which is said to be a mistake from the reports.
