Enyeama, Musa Make CAF Player Of The Year Award List

Confederation of African Football (CAF) has shortlisted 37 players for the 2015 African Player of the Year and 24 for the African Player of the Year (Based in Africa) for the Glo-CAF award.
Super Eagles’ duo of Ahmed Musa and Vincent Enyeama were the two Nigerians, who made the list released yesterday from the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. While the Nigerian players playing in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) were overlook for the African Player of the Year (based in Africa) version of the award.
Enyeama, who played for French club Lille and Ahmed Musa have been in superb form for their clubs in the year under review.
Other Players listed for the African Player of the Year Award includes England-based stars Riyad Mahrez from Algeria, Yannick Bolasie of DR Congo, Andre Ayew of Ghana, Mame Diouf from Senegal, Kenya’s Victor Wanyama and Gabon skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Reigning and African Player of the Year, Yaya Toure is also on a long list of nominees.
The winners of the two categories will be decided by votes from the Head Coaches and Technical Directors of the National Associations affiliated to CAF.
