BREAKING: Jury delivers verdict in Boston Marathon bomber's trial

Dzokar Tsarnaev, the surviving brother from the two terrorists who detonated bombs at the Boston Marathon in 2013, has been sentenced to death.

Jury deliberated briefly and decided on imposing the ultimate penalty a few minutes ago. Tsarnaev reportedly smirked, raised his two fingers in a gunfire gesture after the verdict was announced in a quiet atmosphere of absolute silence.

Tsarnaev and his older brother, Tamerlan, produced bombs with pressure cookers and placed them near the finish line, killing three people and another officer three days later at MIT. Tamerlan was killed in an intense firefight with police after killing the MIT cop while severely-injured Dzokar was arrested after a lockdown in the city.
