APC VP-Consultations Reaches Deadlock, Odigie-Oyegun Promises Results Today

The All Progressives' Congress (APC) has reached a deadlock over its choice of presidential running mate to Muhammadu Buhari, its candidate for the country's number one office.

Earlier developments show that the candidature of Rotimi Amaechi and Prof. Yemi Osibajo were discountenanced following the sudden consideration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the position.

This situation initially gained momentum during the crucial talks held to brainstorm on getting a viable VP candidate.

But, talks deadlocked after a while among the party leaders.

Regardless, APC's national chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, promises that the party's candidate for the vice-presidential position will be announced today as the deadline for submitting these to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ends tomorrow, 18 December.
