The Peoples Democratic Party has won Surulere Local Government in the presidential election.
The
local government is where Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola and
the House of Representatives minority leader, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila,
hail from.
 
While the APC got 52,798 votes, the
PDP got 58,649

Allwell, Delta: 
From the results of the presidential election in the 10 out of 25 local government areas of the state collated as of 1pm, Jonathan leads his major opponent, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress by 375, 731 votes.
Buhari has scored 14, 418 votes so far in Delta State, which is a  PDP stronghold.
In Aniocha South, the PDP pulled 20, 181 votes to the APC’s 937. In Ika North-East, the PDP got 53,754 votes, APC got 761. In Oshimili North, it was 16,055 votes for the PDP and 759 votes for the APC.
Bomadi gave the PDP 57,104 votes and 611 votes to the APC. The PDP scored 28,775 votes in Ughelli South, while the APC scored 2511. In Ethiope West, it was 26,376 for the PDP and 3,196 for the APC.
The PDP pulled its highest votes so far in Warri South-West, where it got 71,510 votes to the APC’s 2,975 votes while in Ukwani, it was the PDP 20, 864 votes and the APC 690 votes.
The PDP scored 66,979 votes in Burutu, where the APC scored its lowest, 108 votes. In Oshimili South the PDP got 28,551 votes while the APC got 1870 votes.
The results from over 10 local government areas, especially some from the riverine areas, had not arrived the state collation centre by 1pm on Monday.

Jonathan wins in Enugu
The Independent National Electoral Commission has released results
of the presidential election in the 17 local government areas in Enugu
State.
An analysis of the results shows that President Goodluck Jonathan
of the Peoples Democratic Party won in all the local government areas,
recording a combined total of 553,003 votes.
General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) of the APC came a distant second with a total of 14,157 votes.
A total of 1,381,563 persons were registered to vote in the state, but only 616,112 were accredited.

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Kwara Central
Senatorial District, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has been declared winner of the
Saturday’s Kwara Central Senatorial district election.
The Returning Officer for  Kwara Central Senatorial district, Dr.
Mulikat Ahmed, said Saraki polled 118,879 votes to defeat his close
rival, the candidate of People’s Democratic Party Abdulrahman
Abdulrasaq, who secured 66,864 votes.

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress,
Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has defeated President Goodluck Jonathan in
Oyo State.
Buhari won with a landslide victory, clearing 27 of the 33 LGs
in the state.
The APC candidate polled 528,620 votes while President
Goodluck Jonathan scored 303,376.

won in just six councils in the state.

Femi, Osun: The collation of election result was almost marred on Saturday as corps members had to resort to use their telephone light to collate results of the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
Our correspondent, who observed the collation of result at Salvation Army Middle School discovered that there was no electricity supply to the school as at 11:30 pm when the collation was ongoing. 
Some of the ad hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission complained that they were not taken care of, saying they had not eaten anything since morning.
Some of the corps members threatened to beat Channels Television crew – Bose Sodiq and Oloyede Oyegbenle. 
They also threatened to smash the camera of the TV station for daring  to record them while collating the result in the dark. 
It took the intervention of some other journalists  before the irate corps members were pacified.

Ade, Abuja: Maj. Gen Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress wins the presidential election at the polling unit in Mogadishu ‎Cantonment (popularly called Sani Abacha Barracks).

Out of the 717 registered voters in the unit, APC polled 280 votes while its closest ‎rival, Peoples Democratic Party which fielded President Goodluck Jonathan polled 213 votes‎.

The counting was concluded at exactly 9.55pm on Saturday.
Supporters of the APC burst into jubil‎ation as the 280th ballot paper of the APC was counted.
They shouted “sai baba” as they made their ways to their various homes leaving the polling officials at the polling unit.

The All Progressives Congress won the polling unit of former President Olusegun Obasanjo in the Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections, beating the ex-president’s former party, the Peoples Democratic Party, to the second place.
At the Ward 11, Unit 2, Shokori, Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State polling unit, the APC polled 100 votes in the presidential poll, while the PDP got 16.
In the Senatorial election, the APC got 93 votes, while the PDP got eight votes.
The Social Democratic Party got 15 votes while the Peoples Party of Nigeria got two.
The majority votes for the House of Representatives also went to the APC, which polled 98 votes while the PDP got eight.
The SDP got 12.

Busari, Lagos: Residents of VGC were requested to come with flashlight before voting as darkness enveloped the polling centre and INEC officials ‎could not make out the names on the list.

Jude, Jos: Voting ongoing in most polling units in Jos as of 8 pm as a result of late arrival of election materials. In some instances, where the materials arrived at 3pm, the voters and the electoral officers agreed to accredit and vote at the same time.
For instance at the Wild Life Park polling unit in Jos South, materials got to the unit late in the afternoon and the voters asked the INEC officers to allow them vote immediately they were accredited.
At PU 012, Tudun Wada in Jos North, officials arrived with electoral materials at about 3pm due to what officials referred to as transportation problems and have to be moved by facilities provided by political parties to the polling units and not INEC.
The same applied to PU 063, where INEC officials also arrived at 3pm. Voting was done simultaneously with accreditation.

Samson, Lagos: Some armed thugs have reportedly hijacked ballot boxes on
Ayilara Street in the Mushin area of Lagos.
INEC officials told presmen that the thugs, after snatching
the ballot box, emptied them in the gutter.

INEC: INEC has given approval for its officers to accredit voters manually after ensuring that the Permanent Voter Card belongs to the person  presenting it.
In a statement by INEC’s Chairman, Information, Voter Education and Publicity Committee, Dr. Chris Eyimoga, the commission said this step was informed by the level of challenges encountered in the Saturday election to accredit prospective voters.

Iyimoga said, “The Commission has, therefore, decided as part of the Guidelines for the Conduct of the 2015 general elections that in Polling Units where card readers have so failed to work, the Presiding Officer shall manually accredit voters by marking the register of voters, upon being satisfied that the person presenting a Permanent Voter’s Card is the legitimate holder of the card.”

Eric, Port Harcourt: Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, refused to be accredited manually by INEC officials in his hometown of Ubima under Ikwerre Local Government after it emerged that there were no election result sheets and that the card readers deployed in the area failed to work.
The Governor, who turned up at his polling unit at about 10:00am, was left disappointed, accusing the Peoples Democratic Party-led Federal Government of plotting to rig the presidential elections in the state.
 
It is unlikely Amaechi, who is the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation, would perform his civic right. 

His convoy was seen returning back to State House in Port Harcourt almost immediately.

Meanwhile, the PDP governorship candidate in Rivers, Nyeson Wike, a former Minister of State for Education, cast his ballot together with his wife, Suzeth, at Unit 7, Ward 9 in Obio/Akpor area of Ikwerre at about 2.30pm after their accreditation earlier in the day.

Everest, Abuja: Information Minister Sen. Patricia Akwashiki has expressed disappointment over the delay in authenticating the Permanent Voter Cards by INEC card readers in many polling units in Nasarawa State at the commencement of the 2015 general elections.

Eniola Akinkuotu, Lagos: There seems to be frustration at polling unit 008 on Makinde Street in the Ikeja area of Lagos as the three card readers allotted there are not working.
Incidentally, the unit is located about 100 metres away from the polling unit of a former Governor of Lagos State,  Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Election suspended in Ethiope Federal Constituency of Delta State due to shortage of electoral materials.
The REC Mr. Anidi Ikowak said the INEC would have gone ahead with the election but for complaints from party agents.
