UPDATE: Stop Press World!! Jonathan (Fayose too) call Buhari, concede defeat while vote counting is still ongoing #NigeriaDecides

Unprecedented in the history of electioneering in Nigeria! in politicking, in level of opposition, in voting and the outcome of the election, this election will ofrever rank as t he best yet in Nigeria's history of elections.

Incumbent, now outgoing, President Goodluck Jonathan just called opposition Muhammadu  Buhari to acknowledge results of the election and concede defeat. The call was received by BUhari in Abuja a few minutes ago.

UPDATE:
Ovbiously, President Jonathan doe snot want to be collared into engaging in a long-drawn political battle with Buhari which  is highly likely if the power hawks circling around him assemble and offer their advice.

His stance is clearly a marked departure from that of Godswill Orubebe, a former minister of the country, who stormed the venue of the meeting demanding that the electoral umpire, Prof. Jega should "go to his office" instead of continuing his announcement of the results. It confirms earlier suspicions that Orubebe acted alone without the endorsement of the President.
It also confirms the existence of overzealous power hawks surrounding and wrongly advising the president, who collectively, wants Onathan to win even more than the president because of their vested interests.

With this development however, JOnathan has pre-empted any move by this bloc to challenge the incontrovertible evidence staring him in the face after the announcement of final election results in Abuja three days after the polls, March 31.

And with that, the Nigerian opposition won the presidential elections for the first time ever.

UPDATE:
Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti has also called to congratulate Buhari on his electoral victory in the presidential election over his boss. Buhari would not remember Fayose's advert wishing him death.

Nigerians are awaiting the next call to be from Femi Fani-Kayode, the loquacious media director of Jonathan's re-election campaign. He is likely to do his on national television. Or while prostrting to Buhari in Abuja..,
