Fresh plan to scuttle elections emerges with new lawsuit in Abuja

A fresh suit to scuttle the 2015 general elections which seeks to restrain both the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressive Congress (APC) from participating in the elections has been filed before the Federal High Court, Abuja.
The suit filed by an Abuja-based legal practitioner Babatunde Bamigboye asked the court to declare that the programme as well as the aims and objects of PDP and APC did not conform to the fundamental objectives and directive principles of the State policy.
In a 16-paragraph affidavit in support of the suit, deposed to by the plaintiff, he stated that the international community is also apprehensive of the violations of right to life and national peace and thus initiated the Abuja Peace Accord
