BREAKING: Nigerian army says it has liberated Gwoza from Boko Haram

The Nigerian military authorities say it just left liberated Gwoza in Borno state from Boko Haram.
The town has long been regarded as the headquarters of the terrorist group.
This ties in with President Jonathan's earlier boast that the town will be liberated today, before the election.
In recent days, Gwoza remained the only outpost of Boko Haram remaining in the groip's clasp after other towns formerly held by Boko Haram including Monguno and Baga were retaken from the dreaded group.
The opposition however feels that judged by the timeline of events and the swiftness with which Nigeria acted alone or alongside Niger and Chad, it believes that the ruling government deliberately allowed the situation to fester till election's eve in order to score cheap political points.
These positions do not detract from the cheering news though. Let's hope Boko Haram stays chased away from these lands.
