Should we be sending out a new couple alert for Lupita Nyong'o and Common?
The Oscar winner has been linked to several big name movie industry players from Michael Fastbender to Benedict Cumberbatch to her longstanding flirtationship with Jared Leto. However, only Kenyan rapper K'Naan seemed to be the one who actually was in a serious relationship with the "12 Years a Slave Star," but their romance reportedly fizzled out at the end of 2014.
So has Lupita found loves in the arms of another Hollywood heavy hitter? According to the rumor mill that could just be the case as the actress was recently spotted on a date with rapper/actor Common.
According to NecoleBitchie, fans spotted the duo spending some quality time together in New York City on Tuesday, March 10, and from the several tweets fans posted about the rumored new couple it appears they literally had an all-day date.
The first tweets about Lupita and Common were posted after fans spotted them catching the Off-Broadway play, "Big Love," together, while a few others later snapped pics of the "Glory" rapper and Lupita having dinner at Pershing Square.
While it's unclear whether or not they were actually on a romantic date or if Common and Lupita were just enjoying a friendly hangout, this is one hook-up we wouldn't mind at all should the dating rumors turn out to be true. However, it's worth noting that they share the same stylist so this could have been just one instance of many interactive moments between the two.
But they are both reportedly single and on the market, even though there have been whispers that Common may be trying to get back with his ex-girlfriend and tennis star Serena Williams.
However, the "Go" rapper recently opened up about his personal life during an appearance on Hot 97's "Ebro In The Morning Show" and revealed that he was dating, but not one specific lady.
"I'm single. I go out on dates. I haven't really found a woman that I'm just like, 'Okay I'm gonna settle down.' I ain't out here wild, because I'm focused on stuff I'm doing, but it's nice to go out on dates."
