Ebola: In Mali and New York same day, Ebola gets ubiquitous

Belkys Fortune, Teressa CeliaA New York-based doctor was rushed to New York City's Bellevue hospital late yesterday night after exhibiting Ebola symptoms. The doctor quarantined himself after realising he might be a victim of the dreaded virus. The man just returned from a medical mission to West Africa.
His girlfriend has also been quarantined.
But, this may seem too little, too late because the man mingled with the public recently as on Wednesday night when he might have been harbouring the infectious disease.

Similarly, Mali became the sixth African nation to record its first Ebola case yesternight. “A two year-old girl, who came recently with her parents to the city of Kayes, from Guinea, is the first confirmed case of Ebola in Mali”, said Abdoulaye Cisse, a spokesman for WHO in Mali, told Bloomberg by phone. “We don’t know what health condition she is in. The sample was sent to the Point G Hospital in Bamako and confirmed today.”
