Abuja Police Clarifies That It Didn't "Arrest" Vlogger, But Only Called Him For "Questioning" (Nigeria Metro)

SP Josephine Adeh, the Nigerian Police Force FCT Police Command's Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) has come out to clearly state reasons why a popular vlogger was "called for questioning" for allegations bordering on  "cyberstalking, cyberbulling and defamation of character"  and not "arrested".

Aseh said, "He has since been released after voluntarily giving his statement on the allegations." Meaning, he "voluntarily" supplied information and write his statement without force or any form of coercion.

She said this shortly after VDM made a video after his release where he suggested that he his he was arrested and not only that, he said he is being harassed for defending human rights violations over an alleged fraud allegations levelled against one of the people he called out recently.

It is curious why the FCT Police Command feels compelled to make this clarification.
