Following the recent brickbats between Peter Obi, the LP presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, and the ruling APC, Mega Mode Media learns that there are insinuations that Peter Obi is poised for arrest by the Nigerian authorities. 

Sources told this newspaper that this follows Obi's latest statement against the economy, where he also reportedly urged Nigerians to action. 

Presidency sources, Mega Mode Media learns, interprete this statement as a call for civil disobedience or mass uprising against the federal government. 

The timing of the statement around when there are increased agitations by seemingly faceless groups calling for protests across the country, is deemed deliberately provocative and laced with malicious intent by the government. 

This is because Obi has a huge cult following in Nigeria, and his large supporters dubbed #Obidients, have relentlessly hounded the government online from the campaigns till date, and ate believed by government as the drivers of the planned protests. 

Government therefore believes Ibi's call is a deliberate trigger for his devout fans to protest and by that, run the country aground. 

This is why Obi is said to be likely to be arrested for treasonable felony or related infractions.
