Nelly & Ashanti Are Married, Welcome Baby! (Celebrities)

US singer and couple, Cornell Haynes Jnr. a.k.a. Nelly and Ashanti Douglas, more renowned as Ashanti, also a famous singer, welcomed a bundle of joy recently. 

The couple dated met at a Grammy press conference in 2003 and started dating. They split in 2023, because as Nelly said in an interview, his career was his main focus. Over the years, he's had four kids out of wedlock.

Ashanti, famous for her collaborations with Fat Joe' What's Luv? and Skways in Time with JaRule, and chart topping albums plus a great acting career, dated a few men on and off afterwards. 

But, strangely, both remained single as true love became elusive.

The two found themselves back with each other, thanks to Fat Joe, Jarule and her DJ in 2023. They also went on tour together. By late 2023, Ashanti was pregnant, and Nelly had proposed. 

The two privately wedded away from the klieg ights, December 27, 2023, the world did not know until June 19.

But, they had mercy on their fans and  shared two sweet baby showers and its pictures with the world. Now, they are parents to a baby son. 

The couple, fast becoming synonymous with keeping major life events to themselves, are still both savouring the moment to themselves for now and are yet to officially share the news with the world.
