Nigerians Shut Up Criticism of Hijab Worn in Movie Scene (Nigeria Beat)

 

                        The scene

An influencer started a protest that the above scene in a new Nollywood movie produced by Bolanle Ayo disrespected Islamic religion by disparaging female hijab/niqab apparel worn to signify respect, modesty and honour. The scene he protested of shows armed men robbing a bank, but disguised as females in the Islamic apparel.

This infuriated many Nigerians who roundly berated him for trying to cause mayhem by raising such sensitive religious issue at a time when more pressing economic matters are afoot.  Some others accuse him of hypocritical double standards for not speaking up when terr0r(st groups wear such garb to b0mb  properties and people in northern Nigeria.
