Davido Gives Up on Joint Custody Suit For Child With Sophia (Entertainment)

There's no end in sight for the drama involving Afrobeats singer Davido and Sophia Momodu, the mother of his first child, Imade. Follow his legal suit asking for joint custody of Imade, the two former lovebirds have been engaged in public brickbats.


Now, Davido came out spitting fire in the uarly hours of today. On his X account, he didn't name Sophia but said that "your (you're) constantly bringing up the death of my child at any point you can to just remind us of this tragedy that haunts us everyday of our live..." This refers to the tragic loss of the child that Davido had with Chioma who passed in a drowning pool accident at home in October 2022.



Davido and Chioma are understandably still hurting over the loss and they clearly do not appreciate anyone raking over the ever present wound. He didn't state when Sophia made such infringement.

Notably however, it seems Davido is having a change of hear regarding the whole issue. He is giving up pursuing the legal suit asking for joint custody of the child. "Imade will grow up to see I fought for her .. as for now you can have her .. P.S she won’t be a child forever .. enjoy" adding, "Imade Aurora Adeleke ! Your father loves you!"

The singer who is on an American tour,  explained that "all I asked for was ‘joint custody’ but cus it’s davido yall wanna act like yall can’t read! SMH I’m off this … yall be blessed and I pray this never happens to you."

Hmmm... It is well.
