Iran War Raises Nigeria's Oil Prices (Economy)

Iran is one of the major suppliers of oil in the world.

Expectedly, as war broke out between aIran and a US-Israeli coalition last week, many economists projects a significant rupture in global oil prices in its aftermath.

Now, the war's impact has landed on the shores of Nigeria. Dangote Refinery, which is the largest private refinery in Nigeria, threw the first shot.

The refinery has increased the gantry cost of oil to N1,175.

Prices of goods and services will jump up now. Religious Ramadan and Lent fasts met a perennial fast in the belly of Nigerians already. This is hunger raised to 100 power ratio.

Government should do something to alleviate this.
