DNA is very strong and mysterious. How a father's face, gait, voice, even behaviour will beat exact same similarities with parents or relations.

At times, it could be talent or profession that will run in a family. Rotimi Williams was a lawyer of repute, all his four sons were lawyers. Gani Fawehinmi, another iconic lawyer, had most of his children taking after him. It could be music, like the Kuti dynasty where music is running through their family for nearly eight generations now.

Now, it's the turn of the Balogun family. That's the surname of Ayo Balogun known worldwide as Wizkid and his first son, Boluwatife Balogun, who has crossed into music and is now professionally known as Champz.

And, Champz is lining up to becoming a champion indeed. He is the latest cover star of Apple Music’s Africa Now and Afrobeats Hits playlists.

His track ‘Bad Guyz’ tops Africa Now, while his EP 'Young Poet' has reached No. 2 in Nigeria.

The winning DNA streak in both Baloguns is manifesting, and we can't get enough of it already. Should we expect a father-son collaboration soonest?

Because, like the saying goes, "like father, like son!"
