Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua Treats Moms of His Late Pals Cina & Laetz To A Party (Celebrities)

It's a bittersweet party. But a thoughtful one.

As we all know, the world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, lost his two childhood friends Laez and Cina in a fatal car crash four months ago in Nigeria. It was a moment of profound tragic loss that the world palpably stopped and sorrowed alongside Joshua.

Emotions were heightened upon Joshua's quick return back to UK, he left back for UK without completing his trip.  There, he personally took his friends' luggage to their parents minus their sons. It was a heart rending moment. 

Now, four months later, Joshua did something to lighten the mood of the mothers of his best friends in order to help them lessen the sorrow and heal emotionally.

He threw a Mother's Day bash for them. All guests had a mission- to make the mothers laugh, dance and have fun again. 

And then, it was dancing time. A Nigerian musician was on the floor, he started serenading Tessy, Cina's mom. She is fun to be around indeed, as she posed, waved like a queen, danced to lyrics of "Tessy baby, mama cina" at first to huge belly laughs from Joshua and loud cheers from guests.

Soon though, Tessy's mood shifted, the smile disappeared , her face crumpled and the tears started rolling. It was the "mama cina" the singer kept adding to the lyrics, making her remember again, that Cina is gone forever. Even the singer, maybe a friend to Cina too, got teary and emotional. 

Quickly, Joshua hugged Tessy warmly, released her, whispered something to her and she struggled to hold herself together a bit. Joshua then got some cash and proceeded to spray her with the cash though onto a tray, Nigerian style. Someone then whispered to the singer to ditch mentioning "mama cina" so it became "sexy Tessy, pretty baby". 

Laetz's mom was a more stoic. She was subdued despite chants of "mommy Laez" from the singer while singing her own praises. 

It was indeed a beautiful and extremely thoughtful way to celebrate his closest buddies' moms on the very first Mother's Day after their son's passing. 

It's clear Joshua's got the two moms, he's now filling the great void their late sons suddenly left. Surely, Cina and Laetz would be smiling down proudly.
