BREAKING: Lagos Gov. Sanwo-Olu Gives Out Car Gifts (Lagos)

This is indeed worthy of wide commendation. That a governor with over half of his second tenure over, will bother himself to reward and motivate the workforce that has been the driving force behind service delivery of government policies or rare. It shows thoughtful and empathetic leadership.

That was what Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu demonstrated earlier today to Level 17 officers of the Lagos state's civil service.

 "Today, I presented new official vehicles to our Level 17 officers across the Lagos State Public Service," the governor announced, adding, "these are Directors who play a key role in how our Ministries, Departments, and Agencies deliver results. Supporting them is a practical step to help them do their work better.'

Sanwo-Olu said a motivated public service is at the heart of good governance, because when people are properly equipped, they will be empowered to stay focused, and deliver with greater commitment.

To those who are wondering when it will be their turn, Sanwo-Olu hinted there's more to come. "This is part of our ongoing effort to strengthen service delivery and raise the standard of performance across the system," he concluded.

Mega Mode Media notes this is arguably the very first time a governor in any part of Nigeria did anything like this.
